JOIN US FOR OUR EMERGENCY MEETING ON GUN VIOLENCE

TO JOIN, CLICK THE LINK BELOW

Tocsin Magazine, Save Rochester, Take It Down, Community Justice Initiative, and other organizations want you to join the fight against police brutality, gun violence, poverty, and the failing educational system.

On the one year anniversary of the largest mass shooting that Rochester has ever seen, where 16 people were shot and Jaquala Young and Jarvis Alexander lost their lives, on this very same day violence erupted yet again and 2 more people were murdered due to senseless acts of gun violence.

  • We are all joining a Zoom call today standing in solidarity, in unity, and in love. Moreover, we will meet because we want to know what has the Office of Neighborhood Safety been doing since its inception?
  • Where are the mentorship programs? Where are the peacemaker fellowships, and the job readiness programs that were promised to us?
  • Where are the violence interruption programs? Where is all the data that they said they would be collecting?
  • Politicians come to our neighborhoods to make us promises and to sell us dreams of intervention, meanwhile we live out the nightmare of gun violence, murder, and mayhem.

Join the Emergency Zoom Meeting on Gun Violence

Join us for tough questions and strategic solutions

The leading cause of death for Black males up to age 44 is homicide.

Former Mayor Bill Johnson has dealt with increasing rates of homicide during his administration and has offered to share the strategies his administration used to decrease violence in our city. Join us as many other notable guests share their thoughts in an open forum. This event is open to the public.

We recommend masks.
